Yellow Rice with Rosemary and Lemon

A bright dash of color to add to any meal.

Bright colors can enhance the presentation of your meal, and the bright yellow this rice dish gets from the Turmeric definitely provides that. Otherwise, the rice has a little hint of tang from the lemon peel and a nice rosemary aroma.

Rosemary Lemon Rice

Serves about 6.

Check preparation instructions on rice for times and proper amount of water. You want to come up with about 6 cups of end product.

In a large saucepan, combine salt, rosemary, basil, lemon peel, and turmeric. Bring to a boil. Stir in rice, cover, and reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for about 20 minutes or until water is absorbed. Fluff with fork and serve.

Serve with a dish with strong flavor. The light lemony flavor of the rice will generally be a good compliment to something with a stronger flavor.
